Your feedback is important to the team at Time Extension, as it helps us understand what’s important to you as a reader. Our Feedback Policy outlines how you can provide feedback and how we use the feedback you share with us to improve how we work, and to make Time Extension the best resource it can be for the Retro Gaming community.
How To Provide Feedback To Us
This policy applies to all types of feedback but applies particularly to: Suggestions, Complaints, Positive Feedback and Bug Reports.
We read all feedback submitted to Time Extension, and there are many different ways you can provide feedback, including:
Contact Form
The most direct way to provide us with feedback is to use our Contact page and select an appropriate subject, e.g., "Feedback / Complaints." Your message will be directed to the correct department, which will get back to you as soon as possible after reviewing it. You do not need to sign up for an account to send a message using our contact form.
Article Comments
Often you will be able to provide constructive feedback within articles themselves by signing up for an account and leaving a comment. Please ensure the feedback is related to the article itself, as this will be public, otherwise please use the Contact page to submit a private message.
Forums
We have a specific "Feedback and Suggestions" forum category within our Forums, you can read suggestions or feedback from other members and also add your opinion and feedback.
Social Media
Time Extension also has various social media accounts across Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter and Bluesky. Whilst we have a full-time community manager who monitors these accounts it may take longer to get a response from us using these channels, we recommend using the Contact page for anything important.
Anonymous Feedback
Feedback can be provided to Time Extension anonymously using our Contact page. If you do report your feedback anonymously, we won’t be able to provide you with updates or request follow-up information that may be essential for processing your feedback.
How We’ll Review Your Feedback
Time Extension will always read your feedback; we have a long history of feedback being provided by our readers that is then turned into action, as evidenced by our many forum threads.
Your feedback will first be categorised and prioritised based on urgency, impact and relevance. If your feedback requires an urgent reply we will do our best to reply as quickly as possible, but please be aware we may need time to investigate your inquiry. Otherwise, we will respond to your message once we have a meaningful reply for you, such as a solution, resolution or simply an acknowledgement of your suggestion.
Editorial-related feedback (positive or negative) will be passed on to the senior Time Extension editorial team. Anything related to the website design or functionality will be looked at by our CEO (Anthony Dickens) who heads up our technical development. Website feature requests may be logged in our product development tracker and we'll do our best to let you know when that feature is made available.
How We’ll Action Your Feedback
Your feedback will never be treated in isolation, and we will always evaluate all the feedback from our community to help work out the best way forward and whether we decide action is required.
Depending on the nature of the feedback, different people within our organisation will be consulted on their opinions before action is taken. We have strict Editorial Independence at Time Extension with a primary focus on serving the Retro Gaming community which also has a clear Coverage Policy which may be influenced by your feedback.
Whenever possible, we will aim to communicate back to you when changes are made based on your feedback.
Confidentiality & Data Protection
If you contact us using the Contact page, you are likely to provide us with your personal data (your name and email address). This personal data will only be used confidentially within our organisation to contact you regarding your feedback and will not be used for any other purpose per our Privacy Policy.
Our Expectations
We understand that sometimes readers may have negative or critical feedback about Time Extension. We are happy to hear negative or critical feedback; however, we ask that any negative or critical feedback be provided civilly and constructively. Any hint of abusive feedback will be ignored and not tolerated by our team. Any persistent abuse or hounding of our staff on other platforms will also not be tolerated and may result in your account or IP address being banned from Time Extension.
Updates To This Policy
We review and update our feedback policy regularly, and we encourage our readers to contact us if they have any suggestions for improving our feedback process. If and when our feedback policy is updated, we’ll note the date of the changes that have been made at the bottom of this policy article.
Time Extension is committed to using your feedback to make continuous improvements to the ways we work across the organisation.
We encourage all of our readers to share their feedback on Time Extension. Thank you for helping us make it the best site for the Retro Gaming community on the internet.
